Breaking things

Almost everything made of wood or metal can be broken for materials.

• Wood (tables, crates, benches) breaks with an Axe and gives planks.
• Metal (cars, trash cans, dumpsters, mailboxes, hydrants, streetlights) breaks with a Pickaxe or Sledgehammer and gives metal.
• Tap the thing and your survivor equips the right tool from your bag, walks over and gets to work.
• Containers have to be searched and emptied before you can break them.
• Broken things come back after 3 days. Nothing comes back while you're standing on its spot.
