Controls
Touch controls, keyboard keys and the settings that change them.
Touch
- Move: drag anywhere on the left half of the screen. The stick appears under your thumb.
- Attack: the big button with your weapon on it. Hold it to keep swinging.
- Use: searches, opens and reads whatever is next to you. It lights up when there's something to use.
- Roll: a quick dodge. You can't be hurt while rolling.
- Bag: the backpack button opens your bag, crafting and quests.
- Hotbar: the four slots at the bottom. The first is your weapon; the other three are food, drink or medicine you've pinned. Tap one to use it.
- Minimap: tap it to open the big map. Tap a spot on the big map to walk there.
Tap to use
Tap almost anything in the world and your survivor walks over and uses it:
- Furniture, bins, crates, car trunks: walk over and search.
- A zombie: walk over and attack it.
- A tree or rock: equip the axe or pickaxe from your bag and start working.
- A wooden or metal thing (after it's been searched): walk over with the right tool and smash it. See Breaking things.
- A house from outside: walk in through the door.
Settings
- Tap ground to move: tap empty ground to walk there instead of using the stick.
- Left-hand attack: (with tap to move on) puts the attack buttons on the left and moving on the right.
